Our Core mortgages are designed for applicants with straightforward financial situations, and include some of our most flexible options, like Joint Borrower Sole Proprietor (JBSP), Later Life, and Tailored Term.

They’re available to first-time buyers and those looking to remortgage, as long as they’ve owned their property for at least six months.

However, these mortgages aren’t the right fit for applicants who won’t be living in the property, existing members wanting to switch their mortgage or borrow more, or those with complex income or credit issues (like missed payments). They’re also not suitable for anyone who will be 85 or older by the end of the term, is looking for a retirement interest-only mortgage, or is purchasing a property that isn’t of standard construction.
