Buy-to-Let Topslicing

To topslice if the mortgage is not self-supporting at the stressed rate, the shortfall in the rental income received, and the rental income required, must be covered by the borrower’s personal income using a net free pay calculation.

  • Topslicing can also be considered on Joint Borrower Sole Proprietor (JBSP) and non-owner cases
  • Topslicing is unavailable on a 5-year fixed product
  • Must be submitted on a Buy to Let (BTL) Topslicing product
  • Topslicing is unavailable to portfolio landlords
