It’s been a BIG year for Hinckley & Rugby. In fact, 2024 has been crammed with positive changes, new ideas, improvements, and success. Here’s our Top 10 of 2024 (in no particular order).
1. Flex range
Our flagship Flex range is more flexible than ever, with extended criteria across the board. Income Flex stretches to a dizzying array of income-types, Credit Flex bends even further for adverse credit, and Flex Together is our most welcoming friend-friendly JBSP ever.
2. Best Green Lender
We won the award for Best Green Lender at FRA24 for our first-to-market green retrofitting partnership with Retrogreen. Ever passionate about all things green, we feel particularly proud of this very important award.
3. Skilled Worker Visa mortgages
We pioneered mortgages for Skilled Worker and Health & Care Worker visa holders, bringing to market a barrier-busting range of mortgages based on a triple-zero promise: no minimum income, no minimum time in the UK, and no minimum time left on the visa.
4. New products and criteria enhancements
With all our new products and criteria enhancements this year, 2024 has been a hugely positive year in terms of growth. It means we’re helping more of your clients than ever before, and we’re busy preparing more good things for 2025!
5. Rebranding
Rebranding is about more than just a change of colours: we are projecting our new reality as a modern, forward-thinking Society whose customers are at the heart of everything we do. Our distinctive ampersand symbolises partnership: us & you.
6. Consumer Duty Champion
We made hugely positive changes to the way we work, by introducing customer-centric policies and practices that ensure crystal-clear communication and excellent customer outcomes. This culminated in us winning the award for Consumer Duty Champion of the Year at the inaugural Consumer Duty Leadership Awards.
7. New broker portal
It has been a big year for embracing technological change, not least with the launch of our new broker portal. Designed to make things easier for you, it offers easy uploading, instant DIP decisioning, immediate ESIS availability, and easy amendments.
8. New colleagues and restructuring
We strengthened our management team with a new CEO, who has infused the Society with a sharpened focus and purpose. We brought in a new CCO to drive customer centricity, and dynamically restructured our BDM team to better support our brokers.
9. Open Banking
Another leap forward in technology has been our adoption of Open Banking, through a partnership with LendingMetrics. We’re always looking for ways to streamline the application process, and there’ll be more to come in 2025!
10. Fixed rate Specialist mortgages
You spoke, we listened! Due to high demand for our Specialist mortgages – designed specifically to serve your clients with unique and complex circumstances – we expanded our range to offer fixed rates for the first time. This enables us to provide payment certainty for those in need of our most flexible lending.
